South London DJ Blackfoot Phoenix presents the ‘Dark & Lovely Global Roots’ mixtape. He teams ups with Thris Tian who is the co-founder of underground music company Boiler Room on this.
Their latest offering starts off with a rock steady vibe and flows into several genres of music including hip-hop, afrobeat, highlife, reggae and house. The mixtape consists of several tracks from the continent including Tekno Miles' 'Dance', 'My Woman, My Everything' by Patoranking featuring Wand Coal, ‘Show you the money’ by Wizkid, ‘Tonga’ by Ghana’s Joey B, ‘Caracara’ by South Africa’s K.O and more.
The songs on the playlist are made up of music Blackfoot has been listening to as well as music from artists he's been monitoring.
